Purchasing

The Finance Department is responsible for assuring that all purchasing of goods, capital and services is done in conformity with the Village's policies and procedures. To ensure that taxpayer dollars are invested wisely, Village policy is to procure goods, capital and services at the lowest possible cost while maintaining an open, fair and competitive bidding environment. 

The Village operates a decentralized purchasing function where each department makes purchases in accordance with the purchasing ordinance. The Finance Department serves as the purchasing gateway to provide assistance and technical expertise in purchasing procedures for overall accounting, budgeting and internal control.
