Sustainability Vision Plan
In 2022, the GSTF began a planning process to guide the Village’s long-term sustainability efforts. The result of this process is the Glencoe Sustainability Vision Plan, a document which is attached to this memorandum.
The Vision Plan first identifies current sustainability-related issues, such as greenhouse gas emissions, stormwater management, maintaining the Village’s robust tree canopy while eliminating non-native invasive species, and reducing solid waste and expanding recycling. The plan also recommends priorities to guide future sustainability initiatives.
