This week on Friday, April 22 we celebrate EARTH DAY!

Here is a lineup of fun and free events you can attend to show your love for our planet and community in a sustainable way.

  • Glencoe Park District’s Earth Day Clean-up Event | Saturday, April 23 at 10 A.M. | Register to volunteer on the Park District’s website
  • GJHP and D35, Cradles to Crayons Collection | April 16th - 24th | Help Cradles to Crayons fill their new warehouse and spring "green" this April by cleaning out your closet! Most Needed Items: pants, sweaters, spring jackets and pajamas. Place donations inside the POD in front of Central School.
  • New Trier Day of Service of Events | Saturday, April 23 | More info and registration at https://newtrierconnect.org/in-person-dos/
    • Nature Trail Clean-up | 9-11 A.M. at the Skokie Lagoons
    • Green Bay Train Clean-up | 10-12 P.M. at Indian Hill Park in Winnetka
    • Food Drive at the Grand Food Center | 10 A.M. – 4 P.M. at the Winnetka location
    • Self-led Block Clean Up |The Glencoe Sustainability Task Force encourages you to organize your neighbors to clean up your block during April. Share your results on social media with the hashtag #glencoesustainabilitystar
