There are no other days in Glencoe that exemplify the spirit of community as much as Memorial Day and the 4th of July. We hope that you are able to take part in these events once again this year!

Below you’ll find event details as well as a link to make an online donation to the Glencoe Patriotic Days Fund. Should you prefer to send a check, please download the Patriotic Days Donation Slip here. Much of the cost of these events, including the fireworks display, is made possible by your generous contributions. Thank you for your continued support of these Glencoe traditions!

Fourth of July Celebrations

All day (View full schedule)
Thursday, July 4
Throughout Glencoe
To make the 2019 4th of July festivities worthy of Glencoe’s 150th birthday celebration, the Glencoe Park District has partnered with the Village of Glencoe to make this already awesome annual event even bigger and better!
In addition to your 4th of July favorites like the Fun Run and Glencoe’s Got Talent, new this year, we are expanding the parade route so that participants and on-lookers alike end at Lakefront Park. Once there, the Party in the Park will start right away, with beer and wine sales, live music, food trucks, bounce houses, a dunk tank, contests and more! The evening will round out with a performance by the Blooze Brothers followed by a special fireworks show!

Also new this year, we are inviting any and all community organizations, neighborhood groups or teams to create a float or to participate in the parade in some way. Due to the increased size of the parade we are asking all groups to register in advance. Not sure of what to do for the parade? Call your friends and join us for a Float Building Workshop at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 at Village Hall.
