2017 Stormwater Improvement Projects
At it's April 20, 2017 meeting, the Village board approved a contract with Berger Excavating Contractors of Wauconda, Illinois for the 2017 Stormwater Improvement Project. This project addressed the remaining three project areas first identified in the 2014 Stormwater Drainage study conducted by Engineering Resource Associates. The 2017 improvements addressed localized surface flooding identified in the Madison Avenue Basin, the Greenwood/Park Avenue Basin, and Village Hall at the Hazel Avenue underpass. Due to excellent bid results, the Village was able to expand the extent of the improvements. A change order request was taken to the Village Board on July 20, 2017.
Construction began in June 2017 and concluded in October 2017.
2016 Stormwater Improvement Projects
At its March 18, 2016 meeting, the Village Board approved a contract with DiMeo Brothers, Inc. of Elk Grove for the 2016 Stormwater Improvement Project which includes storm sewer capacity improvements in both the Terrace Court and Skokie Ridge basin areas. Work is expected to commence in April in the Terrace Court basin and continue into the Skokie Ridge basin area in June. The 2016 project addresses stormwater improvements in two of the five basin areas included in the 2015 bond issue referendum. Click the links below for more information on these projects.
