Public Participation Information for In-Person Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting - August 2, 2021.

**The Zoning Commission hearing for the proposed zoning map amendment and special use permit at 538 Green Bay Road has been rescheduled to 6:00pm on September 13th. 538 Green Bay Road will not be on the August 2nd Zoning Board of Appeals agenda.**

The Zoning Board of Appeals and and Zoning Commission will hold a meeting on August 2, 2021 at 6:30pm.This meeting will be held in person at Village Hall, 675 Village Court, Glencoe, IL 60022.  Written public comments received prior to July 23, 2021 will be included in the agenda packet that is published on the Village website and distributed to Board members. Written comments received after July 23, 2021, will not be published as part of the agenda packet but will be sent to Board members for consideration. Village staff will no longer be reading written/voicemail comments during meetings. Anyone wishing to provide live comments must do so in person during the meeting. Please note that the variation application at 275 Greenwood Ave. that was previously scheduled for this meeting has been postponed until the September 13, 2021 ZBA meeting.

The purpose of the Glencoe Zoning Board of Appeals is to review applications for variations to the Village’s Zoning Code requirements within a defined framework. This Board provides the final decision on such appeals, and also meets to hear appeals to the sign, fence, and tennis court code requirements of the Village. Glencoe’s Board consists of seven residents who are appointed to overlapping five-year terms.

The members of the Zoning Board of Appeal members also meet as the Zoning Commission at the request of the Village Board to conduct public hearings and to make recommendations with respect to any proposed amendments to the Zoning Code and Zoning Map and to grant or deny special use requests.

The Board/Commission generally meets on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the second floor at Village Hall.
