The Glencoe Public Safety Commission appoints sworn Public Safety Officers who provide police, fire, and emergency medical services to the Village. Periodically, the Public Safety Commission conducts testing processes to recruit Public Safety Officer candidates.
The current Register of Eligibles for entry-level Public Safety Officers was established on August 1, 2014 and will remain in effect for a period of two years, or until such time as the list is exhausted of acceptable candidates, whichever comes first.
