ELECTRONICS RECYCLING PROGRAM
The Electronics Product Recycling and Reuse Act prohibits the disposal of residential electronic items in landfills. To assist Glencoe residents the Village provides a drop-off location for residential electronic recycling - Residents may drop off electronics, by appointment only, free of charge as follows:

The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) is an agency that provides environmentally responsible recycling for computers and electronics. Glencoe residents may also drop-off their electronics at the Glenview SWANCC Transfer Station (1151 North River Road). The Transfer Station is open most Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. For a fee, residents may also schedule a curbside electronics pickup. These materials will then be recycled through the SWANCC program. Contact the Public Works Department to schedule a special pickup.

Cell Phones (remove from case)
Computers (desktops, notebooks, tablets)
Printers (multi-function printers)
Video Game Consoles
UN-ACCEPTABLE ELECTRONICS -
THROW IN WITH GARBAGE – MAY REQUIRE SPECIAL PICK-UP
Power Tools or Cords
Small Home Appliances (toasters, blenders…)
Stereo Equipment, including speakers
