Early Voting
As a reminder, voters who participate in Early Voting must vote in person.

Vote By Mail
Any registered suburban Cook County voter with a driver’s license, state ID or social security number on file may request a mail ballot using an online or paper application. Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day in order to be counted. Click here to learn more about voting by mail.

Election Day Voting
Registered suburban Cook County voters can only vote in their home precinct on Election Day. Residents who are not registered to vote may register and cast a ballot on Election Day thanks to same-day registration and voting. Those who wish to register on Election Day must present two qualifying forms of identification. Registered and unregistered Cook County residents can find their assigned polling place with the Your Voter Information tool

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Election Day. 
Voter EligibilityTo register to vote, you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • At least 18 years old by Election Day
  • A resident of your precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day
  • Not be convicted and in jail
  • Not claim the right to vote anywhere else
Voting in GlencoeRegistered voters should note that there are multiple polling locations in Glencoe. Please confirm your polling location prior to election day. Regulations for Campaign Signs in GlencoePer the Village's Zoning Code, political campaign signs are allowed to be displayed in Glencoe during election season with the following guidelines:

  • Signs may be located anywhere on private property.
  • No signs may be located within a public right-of-way. In most cases, the public right-of-way is the area between the sidewalk and the street (the parkway). Signs on public property will be removed by the Village.
  • Each sign must be less than six square feet in area and four feet in height.
  • To report signs on public property or for any questions please contact the Public Works Department at (847) 835-4111.
Register to Vote/File an Address Change
Register to vote or change the address on your voter registration record with the Cook County Clerk's Office. Registrations or changes must be made no later than 28 days before the next election.
