Lawn Sprinkling Restrictions
Given the very dry conditions and the excessive heat days being experienced this summer, residents are reminded of the Village's seasonal lawn sprinkling restrictions.
The Village Code (Sec. 36-54) prohibits lawn watering between the hours of 10am and 4pm, Monday through Friday, between May 15 - Sept. 15, except as follows:
- Properties with odd number street addresses can water during the restricted hours on odd calendar days of the month; and
- Properties with even number street addresses can water during the restricted hours on even calendar days of the month.
Residents are encouraged to be aware of and comply with these restrictions in order to reduce the water demand during peak usage periods of the day.
