The purpose of the 7 member Zoning Board of Appeals is to review appeals to the Zoning Code requirements within a defined framework. This group provides the final decision on such appeals. The same group also meets on appeals to the sign, fence, and tennis court code requirements.
The members of the Zoning Board of Appeal members also meet as the Zoning Commission at the request of the Village Board to conduct public hearings and to make recommendations with respect to any proposed amendments to the Zoning Code, and for granting or denying special use requests.
It is the goal of our appointed Zoning Board of Appeals/Zoning Commission, in conjunction with the Village Board, to maintain stable zoning for Glencoe resulting in ever increasing property values.
The Board generally meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall Council Chamber. Board members include:
- Barbara Miller, Chairman
- Jim Clark
- David Friedman
- Ed Goodale
- Jim Nyeste
- Howard Roin
- Steve Ross
