The Village and the Glencoe Park District are excited for you to join us in celebrating our Nation and our community this Independence Day. Activities in 2024 will take place over two days. See the schedule of events below and stay tuned to social media and eNews for event updates and information.

Safety is our community’s top priority. In response to the events that occurred at the Highland Park Fourth of July Parade in 2022, Glencoe Public Safety plans to increase our visibility, surveillance, and patrol before, during and after the parade and other Fourth of July events.


WEDNESDAY, JULY 3, 2023
Party in the Park | 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. | Lakefront Park 
The Glencoe Park District is kicking off the holiday celebrations with a party in Lakefront Park! Enjoy games, inflatables, live music, food trucks and beer/wine sales. More info coming soon!

Fireworks | 9 p.m. | Lakefront Park
Glencoe's Dazzling firework display over Lake Michigan can be enjoyed from Lakefront Park. More info coming soon!


THURSDAY, JULY 4, 2023
Rotary Fun Run | 8 a.m. | Glencoe Train Station
Start your morning with a run through Glencoe! The race is free, but advanced registration with the Glencoe Park District is encouraged. More info coming soon!

Family Games | 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. | Kalk Park
Play wacky games and enjoy patriotic fun with the Glencoe Park District before headed to the parade downtown. More info coming soon!

Independence Day Parade | Steps off at 1 p.m. | Downtown Glencoe
Glencoe's annual Independence Day Parade steps off at 1 p.m. on its usual route beginning at the intersection of South/Hawthorn, heading east on South, north on Vernon, east on Park, south on Village Court, ending at Hazel Ave. More info coming soon!

Parade Reminders:

  • The parade is held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, information will be posted to social media and the Village's website.
  • Do not place chairs or blankets along the route until the morning of the parade.
  • Parking along the parade route will prohibited beginning at 10 a.m. on July 4 through the parade's conclusion. 
  • During the parade, be sure to watch from a safe distance of motor vehicles and keep children off of the route.


JOIN THE PARADE!
Community members, groups, teams, local businesses, elected officials, entertainers and more are invited to participate in the Glencoe Parade! Interested parties should submit a registration form (found below) to the Village of Glencoe by  June 4.
