The Village has an annual public sidewalk replacement program. The Capital Improvement Program will strive to replace deteriorated and deficient sidewalk squares in the number equivalent to one sixth of the residential areas each year depending on budget allocation. Residents are encouraged to notify the Village of locations of potentially hazardous sidewalk.
Beginning in 2008, the Village began a voluntary program where residents may choose to replace public sidewalk adjacent to their property as part of the Village’s contract, at their own expense. This program allows residents to have an opportunity to replace public sidewalk at a competitive unit price.
