The Building & Zoning Division of the Department of Public Works is responsible for assuring that all construction meets minimum health and life safety standards, building code requirements and zoning and property maintenance standards as specified in the zoning ordinance. Most projects require building permits to ensure that these standards are being met. All contractors that work in the Village of Glencoe must submit their license/bond documents to the Building & Zoning Division.
