Paul Harlow was appointed Village Manager in 2000.  He is the Village's chief administrator and was appointed by the Board of Trustees as a full-time, salaried employee. His tenure depends upon satisfactory service as determined by the Village Board. The Village Manager appoints the Director of Finance, the Director of Public Works, the Director of Public Safety and the Golf Club Manager.  All non-elected positions are filled based upon the merit of the applicant's education, training and experience and are held without tenure.

The Village Manager is generally responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Village. Other responsibilities include the employment, training and supervision of Village personnel; preparing the annual budget for Village Board review, and assisting the Village Board as directed.
